SULTANAT by HAZEEM is a New Zealand–based menswear house, designed in New Zealand and crafted in Pakistan. Sultanat means Empire, and a Sultan is the one who defines it. The brand was created around a clear idea: how a man dresses reflects who he is.

SULTANAT draws from a disciplined era of menswear — high waistlines, relaxed proportions and materials chosen to age with time. The focus is on structure, balance and longevity. Each garment is developed through heritage tailoring practices, ensuring that it holds its shape, its drape and its presence over the years.

At SULTANAT, we focus on clothing that feels refined, wearable and considered over time. The approach is shaped by classic menswear, traditional tailoring and an appreciation for garments with structure, balance and longevity.

At SULTANAT, we focus on clothing that feels refined, wearable and considered over time. The approach is shaped by classic menswear, traditional tailoring and an appreciation for garments with structure, balance and longevity.

DESIGN

Our design approach is influenced heavily by classic menswear and tailoring throughout the early and mid-1900s. We pay close attention to silhouette, proportion and fabric, focusing on how garments sit on the body and how they integrate into a modern wardrobe.

Some pieces are developed as ready-to-wear garments, while others are shaped more closely around individual fittings and personal preferences. The goal is always to create clothing that feels natural, refined and ages well over time.

We work closely with our production partners throughout development, focusing on consistency, finishing and fabric quality across both ready-to-wear and tailored garments.

The aim is to create clothing designed to wear well and remain relevant beyond seasonal trends.

The Sultanat

SULTANAT began with an interest in classic menswear, but the long-term goal has always been broader than creating individual garments. We want to contribute to a stronger appreciation for quality clothing, thoughtful design and traditional craftsmanship in a world increasingly driven by fast-moving trends.

Through both ready-to-wear collections and custom tailoring, we aim to create garments that feel timeless, wearable and relevant beyond a single season. Every collection, product and collaboration is guided by the same principle: creating clothing that people genuinely value and return to over time.
